Orienteering at Westport House

Orienteering is the ultimate team sport!  It requires navigational skills using a map and compass to navigate from point to point in Westport House’s natural woodland and parkland terrain, while moving at speed. Participants are given a specially prepared orienteering map which they use to find control points to complete the course.

Participants MUST find all point to successfully complete the activity.  We can add time trials to the activity for a competitive element. It is a Great activity to play as a family or as part of a group, It is highly competitive but also great fun. Learn to map skills to use when you are on the course from our experienced instructors.

Instructor Ratio

For this activity there is no instruction to student ratio.

Age Limit

8 years old

Kit Requirements

None other than comfortable shoes that will allow you to cover some acreage across the estate.
