Unbeatable Group Camping Facilities at Westport House. Westport House is the ideal setting for any scouting group, youth group or family gathering who want an action packed, fun filled camping break!
Our top notch caravan and & camping site is well known for its beautiful natural setting nestled among acres of mature forests and in the heritage setting of the farmyard at Westport House. We have a beautiful grassy area which is exclusively set aside for groups – it provides a vast area of space for tents, supply tents and cooking areas. And it is located close to all of our amenities including hot showers, WiFi, toilets, recycling, picnic and wash-up areas. In our reserved group area campfires are allowed (as long as a grate is used to protect the grass) which can help the evening’s entertainment with sing-songs, campfire games, marshmallows etc.
All groups will also have access to our wide range of free activities onsite, which include: table tennis*, football pitch, playground*, fishing, recreation room, movie nights and teen disco at weekends (*activities free after 6pm) as well as our indoor soft play area.
In addition to our free activities we also have Westport House, our Pirate Adventure Park and an Adventure Activity Centre as well as the Westport Train Tour – all on site – enabling you to schedule full and busy days without having to take too many bus trips further afield. The prices vary but for large groups we can negotiate some generous discounts from our activity providers.
To give you a taster of what’s on offer, we have culture and heritage in Westport House itself, a self-guided Tree Trail for nature walks (FREE!), Theme Park Rides, Miniature Railway and Swan Pedalo boats, Wet & Dry Zorbing, 240m Zip Wire, Tree Climbing, Archery and the group-friendly Archery Tag, Raft Building, Sit on Top Canoes, Paddle Boarding, Paint your own Pottery, Laser Combat Games and more.
If you provide us with dates, ages and group size, we can put together a suggested itinerary for you. Or you can browse our website and tell us specifically what you’d like us to include in your package. We will work with you to design a schedule of activities to ensure your group’s time with us is fun filled, action packed and runs as smoothly as possible.
Although cooking your own food is probably part and parcel of the scouting ethos, we also have the Old Kitchen Cafe in Westport House and Gracy’s Bar & Café onsite. We can work with them to provide a deal on a couple of meals should you want to take a night off! We could also connect you with some of our local supermarkets who would gladly deliver supplies to you onsite.
If you just want camping facilities, and to head off each day and to do your own thing, that’s not a problem either. We will work with you, to make sure your group has a memorable stay.
Let us provide you with great value, great facilities and lots of fun! If you would like to explore your options further, please do get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org or +353(0)9827766.
PLEASE NOTE: Westport House is a quiet, respectable, family-run park that prides itself on being very family friendly. We have a strict noise curfew from 12 a.m./midnight and we DO NOT tolerate any behaviour at any time that disturbs neighbouring campers (including, but not limited to, foul language, rowdy behaviour etc.).
