TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

These terms set out the basis on which you can purchase and redeem tickets for your visit to Westport House and Westport House & Pirate Adventure Park (henceforth referred to as Westport House). Once your tickets have been purchased, the booking is non-changeable and non-refundable. By purchasing tickets for Westport House, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and have read and agree to the use of the information you provide us with.   

   

All persons wishing to purchase tickets to visit Westport House do so subject to the following terms and conditions:   

   

1. All prices are quoted in Euro. Whilst Westport House reserves the right to increase or decrease our prices at any time before you book, once your Booking is confirmed the price of your Booking as stated in the Confirmation Email will not change.   

   

2. For day tickets purchased, your day ticket must be redeemed within 12 calendar months.   

   

3. To redeem your ticket, you must present to the ticket office a printed copy of your email confirmation or booking reference number along with photo identification.   

   

4. For Annual Tickets purchased (valid from date purchased until December 31st of the year of purchase), the following policies apply:   

   

Annual Pirate Pass:   

   

- Annual Pirate Pass includes unlimited access to Westport House, Gardens & Pirate Adventure Park only during normal opening times.   

   

- Annual Pirate Pass must be produced with photo ID.   

   

- Annual Pirate Pass is non-transferable. Penalty: Confiscation.   

   

- Annual Pirate Pass provides for 25% off additional guests to Westport House and/or Pirate Adventure Park only.    

   

- Annual Pirate Pass provides for 10% off Winter Wonderland tickets for your family** It is not valid for visit to Santa at Winter Wonderland.   

   

- Annual Pirate Pass provides for 10% off parties in Pirates Den, food in Gracy's Cafe, Tea Rooms & non-sale items in Gift Shops.   

   

- Annual Pirate Pass provides for 10% off food in Gracy's Cafe, Tea Rooms & non-sale items in Gift Shops.   

   

Annual House & Gardens Ticket:   

   

- Annual House & Gardens Ticket includes unlimited access to Westport House & Gardens only during normal opening times.   

   

- Annual House & Gardens Ticket must be produced with photo ID.   

   

- Annual House & Gardens Ticket is non-transferable. Penalty: Confiscation.   

   

- Annual House & Gardens Ticket provides for 25% off additional guests visiting Westport House & Gardens only.   

   

5. For Winter Wonderland tickets, the following policies apply:   

       

*  Before making a purchase, please carefully review your time, date and individual selections.  Once purchased, tickets CANNOT be exchanged, refunded or returned.   

   

*  An infant is a child under 2 years.  A child is aged 2 - 15 years inclusive. An adult is aged 16 and over.  Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or older.   

   

*  Bring your printed ticket with you on the day of your visit as admittance will not be permitted without it.  This is the email confirmation you receive from us upon booking.  Unfortunately, tickets cannot be posted out.   

   

*  When you arrive at Westport House, please drive directly to the house itself and present your ticket at the reception.   

   

*  Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour time to allow registration and getting to Santa's Grotto.  Every effort will be made to admit latecomers, but admission to Santa's Grotto will not be possible under any circumstances after your ticketed start time.  As you can understand, the tours must leave on time to accomodate all families and maintain the day's schedule. Be sure to plan appropriately for the weather and your journey time. And again, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour time.   

   

*  There are no tickets for visits to the House only during Winter Wonderland as the entire experience and all activities are included.   

   

*  Photography is permitted in Westport House - and encouraged in the grotto - however, the unauthorised use of photographic or video equipment to record children other than your own is strictly prohibited.   

   

6. It is the sole responsibility of the bearer of this ticket to check opening times and tour times of Westport House at www.WestportHouse.ie.   

   

7. For Westport House scheduled tours during high season (July 1 - August 31 only), you shall be accommodated on the next available departure.   

   

8. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult, aged 18 years or over.   

   

9. Westport House reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse entry on to or remove from its premises or the vicinity any person who:   

   

- Has been convicted of a criminal offence, which, in its opinion, is likely to affect the safety or enjoyment of other visitors.   

   

- Has behaved in a manner or is likely to affect the safety or enjoyment of other visitors.   

   

- Has used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provokes or behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace.   

   

- Is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or other substances.   

   

10. Save as otherwise permitted by Westport House, all persons entering must pay for admission. Tickets must be retained at all times and submitted for inspection if required. Any person attempting to gain admission without a valid ticket may be ejected.   

   

11. In accordance with Irish Law, smoking is strictly prohibited within all Westport House in-door public spaces.   

   

12. Any behaviour likely to cause annoyance to other visitors or confusion of any kind is not permitted. Visitors are expected to respect and conform to local laws and customs. If, in Westport House's opinion, a visitor is behaving in such a way as to cause danger, distress or annoyance to others or damage to property, he/she may be removed from the site without refund. In addition, he/she must meet any expenses incurred as a result of such behaviour.   

   

13. Westport House will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that all of its exhibits/ displays are open for use by visitors during normal opening hours. However, Westport House reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, whether for safety reasons or otherwise, and with or without prior notice, to close its Attraction or any part of it. In the event of such closure, the Westport House will refund any visitor the cost of his or her prepaid ticket. Otherwise Westport House shall have no liability whatever, including no liability for travel expenses or any other out of pocket expenses.   

   

14. Other than liability for death or personal injury resulting from Westport House's negligence, Westport House, its employees or agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, howsoever arising.   

   

15. Only food and beverages purchased from Westport House, Gracy's Bar & Cafe and Pirates Den may be consumed at the Westport House.   

   

16. Pets or animals of any nature (with the exception of guide dogs and hearing dogs) must be kept on a leash at all times.   

   

17. If for some reason you are unhappy with any aspect of your Booking with us, we ask that you write to us, care of Westport House, Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland or by email at bookings@westporthouse.ie. Where possible, please quote the relevant Booking Reference Number and provide all other relevant information.   

   

18. Online bookings cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offer.   

   

19. Tickets are not valid for groups and can only be used by individuals.   

   

20. No two special offers can be used in conjunction with each other.

 

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE TICKET SALES FOR WESTPORT FESTIVAL 2012 FOR ANNUAL MEMBERS AND CAMPING/CAMPERVAN TICKET PURCHASES

 

1. These terms set out the basis on which an Annual Membership Holder and/or Campers can purchase and redeem tickets for The Festival to be held on the grounds of Westport House. Once your tickets have been purchased, the booking is non-changeable and non-refundable. By purchasing tickets for The Festival, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

All Annual ticket holders and Campers wishing to purchase tickets for The Festival do so subject to the following terms and conditions:

 

Tickets are issued subject to the Rules and Regulations of the Event Organiser.

 

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are familiar with the Event Organiser’s terms and conditions (detailed below).

 

All conditions listed are to be read together with all other statements or directives either listed on our website or displayed at the venue

 

These terms and conditions are subject to change. We reserve the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time, effective immediately upon posting on the website. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are familiar with the latest terms and conditions.

 

By purchasing tickets on behalf of others, including minors, you acknowledge that those parties are aware of all terms and conditions relating to their tickets and their attendance at the event. Children 12 and under go free with a paying adult (max two children per adult).

 

You may purchase your tickets online at www.westporthouse.ie/shop/, call Westport House Caravan & Camping Park on 098 27766 or drop into the Caravan & Camping Park reception in person.

 

Junior tickets are strictly limited to children aged 13 to 16 years. Photo ID to verify age will be required at point of entry. ALL children aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

2. All prices are quoted in Euro. Whilst Westport House reserves the right to increase or decrease our prices at any time before you book, once your Booking is confirmed, the price of your Booking as stated in the Confirmation Email will not change.

 

3. To redeem your ticket, you must present to the box office a printed copy of your email confirmation or booking reference number along with photo identification.

 

4. For Annual Membership Holders:

Membership is non-transferable – only named card holders may use the card.  Pass must be produced with photo identification for each named adult presenting.  Penalty is confiscation.

 

- Annual Membership provides for 15% off tickets for The Festival. This discount does not apply to Campervan or camping tickets.

 

- Bring your Annual Membership Card with you on the day of your visit as admittance will not be permitted without it.

 

- A maximum of five tickets may be purchased per membership card (ie NOT per named person on a membership card).

 

- Complimentary Annual Members are not eligible for discounted tickets and must purchase through The Event Organiser’s ticket outlets.

 

- The Family Campers Membership cannot be used on the Festival weekend.

 

5. TICKETS

 

Each ticket is a licence granted to you by the organiser to attend the event. Your contractual relationship is therefore with the organiser in terms of attendance at the event.

 

There are three kinds of tickets for The Festival 2012:

 

i)Annual Members Discounted Day Ticket (on sale only to Annual Members to Westport House & Pirate Adventure Park): Grants the right to access the Festival area one day only – 23rd June or 24th June, 2012,  during normal operating times. The day ticket does not grant the right to access the Festival camping areas.

 

ii)Annual Members Discounted Weekend Tickets:(on sale only to Annual Members to Westport House & Pirate Adventure Park):  for Saturday and Sunday. Grants the right to access the Festival venue on both days. This ticket does not grant the right to access the Festival camping areas.

 

iii)Weekend Festival & Camping Ticket: Grants the right to access the Festival area on  Saturday and Sunday, as well as the right to access one of  The Festivals camping areas between June 22nd, 23rd,  24th with check out no later than June 25th.  Each Adult staying on the campervan site/campsite must hold a Weekend Festival & Camping ticket.

 

Westport House or the Event Organiser will not be held responsible for tickets that were not purchased at official points of sale. Any damaged ticket, or any ticket with signs of being counterfeit, will authorise the Event organiser to deny access to the said ticket holder to the Festival venue and, if the case may be, the camping area. Westport House and/or the Event organiser reserves the right to take any and all legal measures it deems necessary against holders of counterfeit tickets.

 

Possession of a ticket does not grant its holder or third parties the right to use the ticket or its contents for purposes related to advertising, marketing or promotions (including, expressly but not exclusively, contests, gifts and/or raffles) associated with the ticket holder or third parties. The said ticket will be declared null and void immediately.

 

Tickets are sold subject to the management's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.

 

When you complete a purchase online, you will receive a confirmation email. To redeem your purchase and obtain festival wristbands, you will need to present the confirmation email to the Box Office to pick up Annual Membership Tickets or to the Camping Reception to pick up Weekend Festival & Camping Tickets.  The Box Office opens on the 23rd  June 2012.

 

If you do not receive this email then it is your responsibility to contact Westport House to inform them. If you do not inform Westport House that you have not received confirmation, we will be unable to guarantee that your purchase was successful. This may result in you being unable to purchase tickets if the event is sold out.

 

All tickets purchased through the website are subject to a booking fee which is included in the purchase price.

 

We reserve the right to charge a fee for the replacement of tickets.

 

Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.

 

It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.

 

We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.

 

Tickets will be void if on-sold or traded at a premium or in conjunction with other goods or services, or used in advertising or as a competition prize, without written permission from Westport House. In the event of a breach of this condition, the ticket holder will be denied admission or expelled and, on request, the ticket will be delivered up to Westport House.

 

6.     WRISTBAND

 

Your email confirmation must be exchanged for a wristband upon arriving at The Festival venue. Tickets can be exchanged for wristbands in the camping reception (if camping) and the box office at the main entrance of the Festival venue.

 

The Organisation will not be held responsible for the care and maintenance of the wristband once issued; the bearer of the wristband will be solely responsible for its care and maintenance. Damaged or broken wristbands will not be admitted. The wristbands are resilient but not unbreakable.

 

Once the ticket has been exchanged for a wristband in a designated area, the wristband becomes the element that certifies acquired rights. The loss of the wristband will translate into the loss of the right of admission. The Organisation warns that manipulated, damaged or broken wristbands will not be admitted. If one leaves the venue, one’s wristband must be perfectly intact in order to re-enter.

 

7.     RIGHT OF ADMISSION

 

Westport House and the Event Organisers reserve the right of admission.

 

Westport House is closed for the duration of the event.  The grounds (including the Pirate Adventure Park) will only be open to festival ticket holders for the duration of the event.  Annual members do not have access to the grounds on these dates, unless they have purchased an additional ticket to the festival.

 

Westport House and the Event Organisers, making use of its right of admission, establishes the following requisites for the admittance of minors under the age of 18 to The Festival:

 

Upon entering the venue, attendees may be searched in accordance with standing legislation; attendees are not allowed to enter the venue with objects that might be considered dangerous, or that are prohibited by law, and this includes professional cameras, video cameras and recorders of any kind.

 

The security can deny entrance, or expulse from the Festival, any ticket holder who does not comply with the instructions of Event organisers personnel, or who might reasonably be presumed to be heading for a high-risk or dangerous situation for the ticket holder himself and/or other attendees.

 

The ticket holder may be expulsed for causing disturbances, carrying drugs or for being in a state of apparent or potential intoxication, each ticket holder personally taking responsibility for any actions that might cause injury to third parties or damage to property.

 

In the case of expulsion or denial of entry, the ticket holder will not have the right to any kind of refund.

 

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND IMAGE RIGHTS:

 

All intellectual property and image rights derived, directly or indirectly, from the artistic performances and/or activities taking place as part of The Festival 2012 are reserved. As such, the capturing, filming or recording of images or sounds without prior written authorisation from the Event Organiser is strictly forbidden.

 

People attending The Festival expressly and unequivocally consent to and authorise that their images and voices might be captured by media channels during the celebration of said event, and may later be broadcast by Westport House, the Event organiser  or authorised third parties in any media channel deemed appropriate for the promotional and/or commercial purposes of The Festival.

 

9.    ALCOHOL

 

There is a NO BYO drinks of any form on the Westport House grounds. Patrons are permitted to bring a picnic but no drink due to council regulations. All patrons will be subject to a bag search by First Security on arrival.

 

Festival goers under the age of 18 are the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times whilst on Westport House premises.

 

10.    The Organiser of the event reserves the right to change pricing, show times, door times, seating layouts, venue capacity without notice.

 

11.    CAMPING

 

 

No Camping only tickets are available.

 

The campsite opens to festival goers on Friday, June 22nd at noon for check in and campers will be asked to check out no later than noon on Monday, June 25th. Your weekend camping ticket covers your stay for the duration.

 

On arrival all campervan ticket holders and camping ticket holders must register at the Campsite Reception.

 

Campers are to check-in to the Campsite within the allocated check in times, from 9am on Friday 22ndof June until as late as 11pm.

 

Any visitors anticipating their arrival outside these times must telephone in advance 098 27766 so that special arrangements can be made.

 

- All caravans, motor homes and tents must be of proprietary manufacture and in good condition.Note- ordinary commercial vans of any type will not be permitted to please do not purchase a Campervan ticket for anything other than a purpose built or adapted live-in vehicle. We would define this as having its own in-built kitchen facilities and toilet.

 

- Allocated campervan pitch size – 30m2

 

- Payment for a campervan or camping ticket must be made in advance.No one night campervan or camping tickets are available, only weekend tickets. On arrival a tag will be issued.  This tag must be displayed for inspection in a prominent position for the duration of your stay.

 

- No tents are to be pitched between caravans or on the campervan area for health and safety reasons.

 

- Caravans may be parked on the campervanpark. However, once positioned, you will need to unhitch and park your car in one of the car parks. Note: a campervan ticket will need to be purchased for each adult in the caravan.

 

- All rubbish must be placed in the bins provided and the pitches are to be kept clean and tidy at all times.

 

- All vehicles – aside from Campervans – must be parked in designated parking facilities (nearby to the camping and campervan sites).

 

- Awnings will not be allowed.

 

- Facilities available on site are toilets, hot showers, wash basins, WiFi, recycling, waste water drop & water points available for campers. A limited number of electric hook ups are available on the campervan site and will be allocated on a first come basis. Small silent generators are allowed.  Westport town 10 mins walk.

 

- Adult campers are responsible for their own children. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.Children 12 and under go free to the festival which includes camping. We are limiting numbers of children camping to 2 per paying adult for health & safety reasons and ask that you register the number of children you’re bringing with you when you buy your camping ticket so that we can prepare accordingly.

 

- Ball games, cycling, skateboarding and roller skating is prohibited on the campervan site.

 

- Barbeques are allowed on the park provided that suitable and safe equipment is used. Open fires and constructed hearths are not permitted.  Every effort must be made to avoid scorching the grass and picnic tables and ashes must be disposed of with care when cooled.

 

- All barbeques, parties, music and social gatherings must cease at 11.30pm.

 

- No nuisance shall be caused to any other user of the site by the campervan tenant or camper, his/her family or guests.

 

- The toilets and showers on the site are for the use of campervan ticket holders and camping ticket holders only and residents should close the doors after use to keep those facilities secure.

 

- All campervans must remain on the pitch allocated unless requested to move by the manager.

 

- A 5mph speed limit around the site must be observed at all times.

 

- The right is reserved to refuse access to the park to any person or persons without giving reason.

 

12.    REMOVAL FROM SITE

 

The Ticket Holder will be required to leave the venue if he or she:

 

– Engages in conduct which unreasonably interferes with the enjoyment of the event by the patrons, including fighting; or

 

– Hampers or impedes the conduct of the event; or

 

– Breaches any by-laws or orders applicable to the venue.

 

Any breach of these conditions shall automatically revoke the Ticket Holder’s license to remain at the venue and/or campsite.

 

13.    LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

 

The Festival at Westport House is an open air event in a rural venue. Entry is at own risk. You must stay alert at all times and assume all risks incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued. You agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by law,that Westport House and the organiser is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage caused to any person or property (including under contract, by negligence, statute, product liability or otherwise), whether they be direct or indirect, special, incidental or consequential, resulting from attendance at this event.

 

14.    PERSONAL PROPERTY/SAFETY

 

Patrons are to remain within the signed areas at all times. If anyone is seen beyond the provided areas they will be considered trespassing, as they will be on private land. Westport House and the surrounding land owners take no responsibility for the loss, damage or injury caused when patrons are trespassing.

 

15. LEGAL RESERVE

 

Westport House will exercise its right to take legal measures, both civil and criminal, as it deems appropriate against the perpetrators of any attempts of fraud, breaking and entering, and/or damages caused to the Westport House, Westport House Adventure Park, Campsite and the Festival, directly or indirectly.

 

16. If for some reason you are unhappy with any aspect of your Booking with us, we ask that you write to us, care of Westport House, Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland or by email at bookings@westporthouse.ie. Where possible, please quote the relevant Booking Reference Number and provide all other relevant information.

 

17. PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

We inform you that your personal information will be kept on file by Westport House, and may be used for future promotions, in full accordance with Westport House policy of dealing with personal information, as published in its website, and complying with all existing laws regarding the protection of personal information. Participants may exercise their right to oppose, access, rectify and/or cancel this.

 

18. Pets or animals of any nature (with the exception of guide dogs and hearing dogs) are not permitted at The Festival or the Campsite.

 

19. In accordance with Irish Law, smoking is strictly prohibited within all Westport House in-door public spaces.
