Westport House provides a dreamlike backdrop for capturing those first moments of your married life. Situated in a splendidly romantic parkland setting, the venue has ample photo opportunities with a lake, waterfalls, terraces and beautiful gardens all overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Clew Bay and Clare Island.

All three floors and thirty rooms of Westport House itself are exclusively open to the bride and groom for your special day. Once inside your guests will be wowed by period features such as the marble staircase, the Angel of Welcome, the intimate library and even, the quirky dungeons. 

The Drawing Room, with its 19th century hand painted ceiling, and Long Gallery are perfectly suited for an intimate reception and can host up to 120 guests seated for a meal. More guests can be welcomed - up to 175 - for the evening celebrations.  For larger weddings during the summer there is also a marquee site adjacent to the house in the landscaped wedding garden.

A unique attribute of Westport House is that it is still privately owned by the Browne Family who built it in 1730.  It retains its original features from furniture to magnificent paintings, open fireplaces, parquet floors and breath-taking architecture in every room, encapsulating 300 years of genuine Irish Heritage.
