On Friday, September 9th, the Westport Festival of Chamber Music hosts the opening recital of its FOURTH annual festival in Westport House.Ā  My oh my, the years are flying by.Ā  And true to form, Madeleine and the festival musical directors, Catherine Leonard and Hugh Tinney, have planned a gripping opening evening.Ā Ā  The opening recital is unfortunately sold out at this early stage (it’s a popular one!) but we look forward to sharing the recording with you as LyricFM will be with us on the evening.Ā  There are plenty more magical musical events lined up over the whole weekend and we hope you’ll find something to enjoy by clicking here.

culture night1Culture Night returns on Friday, September 16th from 6pm to 9pm. The guided tour is scheduled for 7:30pm and we highly recommend you join it – lasting 30 minutes, you’ll learn all about the artwork, antiques and architecture of the house as well as the story of the family who have been here almost 400 years.
