Halloween is fast approaching and we will soon be dressing Westport House for our Halloween Fest event!
This year, the Halloween event itself will run a little shorter than normal as Halloween falls early in the October mid-term break. But the three event days will be packed with spooktacular fun!Ā Click here for full details on the winner of “Best Halloween Event in the West” by Primary Times magazine.
New this year, we are reducing the price of entry to Halloween Fest to ā¬10 per person (PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WAS OUR 2016 PRICE AND DID NOT INCLUDE THE PIRATE ADVENTURE PARK – THERE IS A PRICE INCREASE IN 2017 TO REFLECT THIS).Ā We recognise that Halloween precedes a very expensive time of year for many families (dare we mention the C word??) and so we wanted to make our Halloween Fest as accessible as possible for families for a fantastically festive family day out.Ā We hope it helps.
We love Halloween – the face painting, costumes, turning the house into a haunted mansion, the Lord of the Darkness, Storytime with the White Witch, Spooky Spoons Cupcake Decorating as well as the creepy dungeons! We hope you’ll agree that ā¬10 is a fair price.Ā Ā If you decide to participate in our Jack O’Lantern Carving Workshop, we ask that you cover the cost of your pumpkin which we will provide for ā¬3 per pumpkin.

This year, we are closing the Pirate Adventure Park in its entirety during Halloween Fest – as we have found that the weather at that time of year is just too unkind.Ā And so, none of the rides will be open.
However, we are welcoming back Arthur North and his carnival rides to include Bumper Cars, Helter Skelter, the 18th century Carousel as well as the Chair-o-Planes – they will be situated right in front of Westport House so you won’t have to walk far. The carnival rides will cost ā¬3 per ride per person.
Even though Halloween Fest finishes at 6pm on the 31st, Westport House will remain open for the rest of mid-term break (from the 1st to the 6th inclusive) and kids will go free into the house itself.Ā Ā The Carnival rides will remain with us for the rest of mid-term break too so we’ll have something for adults and kids alike for the whole of mid-term break.
Our award-winning Best in Ireland has been recognised Ireland Family Vacations as one of the top Three Spooktacular Castle Celebrations in the West as well as by MyKidsTime.com as one of 25 Hauntingly Good Halloween Hangouts for Kids.
We hope you’ll come to visit with us for Halloween Fest (over the Bank Holiday weekend) OR during the mid-term break week. We would love to see you!
