Christmas Carnival

We are delighted to welcome back Arthur North & Company and his selection of carnival rides and games for the Christmas season.
The Bumper Cars are a massive hit as are the swinging Chair-O-Planes. And boy do we have some exciting news for Christmas 2016? We are thrilled to have landed Europe’s BIGGEST ferris wheel for Westport House – the views of Clew Bay, the town and the estate are going to be stunning. We have added more rides for the smallies too including a Hot Air Balloon, Aeroplane and Formula 1 ride. We will also have some Carnival Games where you can test your hand-eye coordination to see if you can win a coveted and prized teddy to take home with the kids.
When is the Carnival Open?
Saturday, November 26th from 11am to 8pm
Sunday, November 27th from 11am to 8pm
Friday, December 2nd from 3pm to 8pm
Saturday, December 3rd from 11am to 8pm
Sunday, December 4th from 11am to 8pm
Friday, December 9th from 3pm to 8pm
Saturday, December 10th from 11am to 8pm
Sunday, December 11th from 11am to 8pm
Friday, December 16th from 3pm to 8pm
Open daily from Saturday, December 17th to December 23rd from 11am to 8pm
Closed from Saturday, December 24th to Monday, December 26th inclusive.
Open daily from Tuesday, December 27th to Sunday, January 8th from 11am to 8pm
If you’re peckish, you can enjoy burgers and hot dogs from Fire and Food.
The Carnival will be located at the **front of Westport House**. You are welcome to park in Westport town and walk into the estate via our Church Lane gate OR park on the estate to enjoy the rides. Please note that there will be no parking in front of Westport House.
Consider visiting Winter Wonderland while you’re at Westport House – the magical Christmas experience where you’ll get to meet Santa, Mrs Clause and the Elves in a stunning 18th century setting.
How much does it cost?
Each ride and game costs €3 per person each and everybody using the rides must be ticketed. The Giant Wheel costs €6 (or two tokens) for adults and €3 for children. You may buy Carnival Tokens in advance through our website by clicking here.
FREE Entry to the Carnival and Grounds of Westport House. You do not need a ticket for Winter Wonderland to enjoy the Christmas Carnival.
Rider Safety
Dodgem Cars: Children under 1.3m will need a driver who is taller than 1.3m to accompany them. Please note that all riders must hold a ticket.
