Note that there will be No Access via our Golf Course road entrance due to construction work.
* If you’d like to walk and engage in Westport’s Smarter Travel initiative or simply park in the town, the town centre gates will be open from 9:30am until 4pm each day – the distance from the Church Lane gates to Westport House is 0.5km. * When you arrive at Westport House, please present your ticket at the reception.
* Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour time to allow registration and getting to Santa’s Grotto. There’s lots more to enjoy in the house so please plan on spending a couple of hours with us to enjoy it all. Feel free to arrive early to get your face painted and do some of the other activities before your scheduled visit to Santa – or likewise, visit Santa first and leave time to enjoy the other activities after.
* Please note that you will visit Santa’s Grotto as part of a group and possibly with multiple other families.
* There are no tickets for visits to the House only during Winter Wonderland as the entire experience and all activities are included.
* Photography is encouraged in the grotto and we will be offering a professional photo service in the Grotto. You’re welcome to take your own family shots too. However, the unauthorised use of photographic or video equipment to record children other than your own is strictly prohibited.
* For wheel chair and buggy users: it is important to note that there is no disabled access to Westport House or lifts within the house. The Winter Wonderland experience takes place over 3 floors. There are 18 steps up to the front door and please note that Santa’s Grotto takes place on the top/bedroom floor which is upstairs. We hope that this won’t impede your visit but wanted to be sure that visitors know in advance to plan accordingly.
* Important message re: buggies: Please note that we cannot allow buggies in Westport House due to the beautiful parquet floors which are antiques in their own right. We realise this is not ideal and so, we will have a limited number of baby carriers / harnesses on hand for you to borrow for your visit. We highly recommend that you bring your own in case they are all in use.
* Please note that weather permitting, Winter Wonderland will be open on all the days detailed on our website. If the event closes due to extreme weather conditions, we will refund affected bookings.
