Set amidst a stunning 400 acre site in the heart of Westport town in Mayo, Westport Festival of Music and Performing Arts will be an annual two-day celebration of music and song, embracing the very best local and international rock, folk, celtic and acoustic sounds across three stages.

A grown-up festival for music fans who treasure their record collections, Westport Festival of Music and Performing Arts will host a unique and diverse line up of artists, from full blown rock performances on two stages, to intimate singer songwriter sessions in the acoustic arena.

Already announced are Kinks legend Ray Davies, The Waterboys, Seasick Steve, Alison Moyet, Nick Lowe, The Dubliners, Damien Dempsey, Mundy, Lloyd Cole, Hothouse Flowers, Duke Special, Eddi Reader, The Minutes, David Kitt, Jerry Fish, The 4 of Us, The Kanyu Tree, The Riptide Movement, Bipolar Empire, Cars Love Girls, Rainy Boy Sleep and Eoin Glacken. More big name Irish and international artists will join with the cream of the emerging music scene on the festival line-up in the coming weeks.

Westport Festival of Music and Performing Arts will showcase its offerings to the breathtaking backdrop of Westport House, one of Ireland’s most beautiful historic homes. The event promises a relaxed and friendly vibe, first class festival facilities and the finest local food and refreshments.

The on-site family area will rival any festival in the world, with the incredible Westport House Pirate Adventure Park on the festival grounds. Families will be able to enjoy the Cannonball Run Slide, the Pirates Swinging Ship and Plunge Ride, plus the gorgeous Swan Pedaloe Boats, bouncy castles, the Westport House Express miniature train ride and many more fun festival activities!

Most importantly, festival-goers will have the opportunity to spend a summer weekend in the heart of one of Ireland’s most welcoming towns. Packed to the brim with charming hotels, delicious restaurants, cosy bars and unique shops, Westport also sits proudly on the doorstep of Ireland’s most achingly beautiful landmarks from Croagh Patrick to Clew Bay, Achill Island and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.
