The MG Owners’ Club from Britain visited Mayo last week basing themselves in gorgeous Westport for 5 days enjoying a deluxe touring holiday along the Wild Atlantic Way here. The group’s itinerary was created by leading British classic car and sports car tour operator, Travel Destinations. The tour was supported by Tourism Ireland in Britain and Mayo.ie, with some 65 MG cars taking part in the club’s 20th annual Ireland tour.
While in the region, the group stayed in the 4 star Hotel Westport where they enjoyed a gala dinner on Saturday night and before departing on Monday, they visited Westport House on Sunday for refreshments, a guided tour and a fabulous photo opportunity.
While in Mayo, the club’s Wild Atlantic Way tour brought them to Westport and Achill Island. They enjoyed a visit to Glen Keen Farm & Visitor Centre in Louisburgh, as well as a walking tour of Westport with Westport Walking Tours.
