1. Interactive Gaming Zone
Experience the thrill of video gaming merged with sports at The Interactive Gaming Zone.
A fantastic indoor activity in Westport, the kids will love diving into life-sized video games where they become the ‘joystick’ and take on our interactive gaming wall.
They’ll have a blast playing games such as Angry Birds, Hit the Beat, Treasure Island and much more!

2. Westport House Guided Tours
Voted one of things to do in Mayo, step back in time and explore the rich history of Westport House with a guided tour.
Join our awesome tour guides as they bring you on the story of our 300-year historical home.
Enjoy tales of architecture, kings and queens, pirates, slave emancipators as well as beautiful art and artefacts.
Plus, enjoy stunning views of Mayo including Clew Bay, Clare Island, and Croagh Patrick along the way.
3. Swan Pedalos
No trip to Westport House is complete without a trip on our iconic Swan Pedalos!
Back for the 2024 season, our Swan Pedalos offer a prime view of the Estate as you pedal out on the water.
Designed to resemble graceful swans, these pedal boats are easy to operate – If you know how to ride a bike, you’ll be an expert captain of our pedal boats.
4. Road Train & Westport Express
All aboard!
Enjoy a scenic journey around the grounds of Westport House on famous Road Train or Westport Express train.
Modelled after the old steam trains that used to run on the Westport railway (now known as the Great Western Greenway), discover the wonders of Westport Estate from the comfort of our enchanting train rides.
Top Tip: While The Westport Express train brings you on a gorgeous, scenic loop of the Estate, the Road Train is a great way to get around Westport Estate itself, with stops along the route to all your favourite attractions.
5. Disc Golf
For those looking to combine physical activity with a hint of competition, the Disc Golf course at Westport House is the perfect choice.
Foot/Frisbee Golf, also known as Disc Golf, merges golf and frisbee by replacing clubs and balls with a frisbee or disc. Players navigate the course aiming for metal baskets strategically placed, presenting challenges of accuracy and distance.
This unique and family-friendly activity promises fun and laughter for all.
6. Toastie Food Truck
Looking for lunch in Westport?
Treat yourself to the ultimate comfort food – a cheesy, loaded sourdough toastie from The Toastie Food Tuck at Westport House.
From hearty Beef Brisket to loaded Chicken & Stuffing or classic Ham & Cheese, our Toastie Food Truck ensures the crispiest, cheesiest, and most delicious toasts in town.
Each toastie comes with skin-on-fries, and there’s even a kid-friendly half-ham & cheese option.
7. The Grounds

8. Easter Trail
Join us on Easter Sunday (March 31st) from 11am to 3pm for our Easter Treasure Trail on the grounds of Westport House.
The Easter bunny will be very busy hiding clues along our Treasure Trail, and will have you looking high, low and all around our gorgeous historical grounds.

9. The Ocean Spirit Leisure Centre
The Ocean Spirit Leisure Centre is on the grounds of Westport Estate, only a 5-minute walk from Westport House.
